Interior
The interior of the New Mahindra Scorpio N has been designed to offer a high level of comfort for all its passengers. The instrument cluster features a sculpted center stack and metallic-look trim, which adds to the contemporary appeal of the cabin. The centre console is home to the traditional gearshift and handbrake as well as a rotary dial for the four-wheel-drive system. In addition to the leather seats, the Scorpio N also features a wireless charging pad and a USB port. In addition, the Scorpio N also comes with a push-button engine start/stop and dual-zone climate control.
The interior of the New Mahindra Scorpio N will have a theatre-style seating layout with optional captain seats for the middle row. The Mahindra Scorpio N’s infotainment system will use Mahindra AdrenoX technology and most likely offer the same connectivity features as the XUV700. The new Scorpio will feature a 3-D sound system developed in collaboration with Sony. Likewise, there will be a large touchscreen infotainment system with a Sony stereo system. Exterior
The exterior of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N has been revealed and it looks a whole lot more upmarket than its predecessor. The car retains the muscular silhouette of the previous Scorpio, but it has been updated to appeal to the modern buyer. The car is longer than its predecessor and its wheelbase is longer, too. The front end of the Scorpio-N is dominated by a new grille and dual-barrel headlights. The sides also feature a new muscular design, and the car is finished with black plastic cladding.
The grille is similar to that of the outgoing Scorpio, and it is almost as high as the headlamp units. A new Mahindra logo is featured on the grille, along with a 360-degree camera and LED fog lamps. A skid plate in silver colour also adds to the exterior appeal of the new Mahindra Scorpio N. The SUV is also characterized by a long, upright silhouette with muscular wheel arches and a large glass area.

The new Scorpio N has six airbags in the top variants.They added advanced safety features such as Driver Drowsiness Detection (DDD), E-call & SOS Switch, i-SIZE Compatibility, Next Gen Body On Frame Platform, Powerful RWD SUV/Robust Construction, and Curtain Airbags. exterior looks more premium than its predecessor, but Mahindra hasn’t revealed the exact size of the alloy wheels or the tyres. However, the design of the wheels and tyres of the Scorpio-N look premium. They’re certainly better than the outgoing Scorpio and Thar. The teaser also shows the rear disc brakes. These are features that most buyers would expect in a car with a mid-range price tag.
Powertrain
The new Mahindra Scorpio N will come with both diesel and petrol engines. The diesel engine will be a 2.2-litre mHawk unit and will produce around 130hp and 160Nm respectively. The Scorpio N will come with either a manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission will come standard in the base version. The automatic transmission will be available in the higher trim levels.
The new model will not have four-wheel drive, but will come with a 12-speaker Sony 3D sound system and roof-mounted speakers. Pricing for the Scorpio N is expected to be around Rs 12 lakhs. It will compete with the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, and Volkswagen Taigun in the mid-priced SUV segment. Hopefully, it will make a splash in the Indian market and help Mahindra regain its lost glory.
The new Scorpio-N will be available in five trim levels, with a petrol engine available on the higher-spec Z4 and Z8 trims. A six-speed torque-converter automatic unit is expected to be standard. The diesel engine comes with two states of tune: low and high. The petrol engine will produce 203hp and 380Nm of torque in its manual and automatic avatars. The 2.2-litre diesel engine is more modest, and in its lower state of tune it produces 132hp and 300Nm of torque. The base Z2 and Z4 trims will have a 132hp diesel engine, although only the latter two will be available.
The new Scorpio-N will be available with both diesel and petrol engines. Diesel variants will have a 1.6L turbo unit. This engine delivers 200PS. The diesel Scorpio-N is available with rear-wheel drive only. One-touch electric parking and Bluetooth connectivity are also standard features. The new Scorpio-N is also expected to feature a driver drowsiness detection alert system.
Colour options
The Mahindra Scorpio N has a mature exterior design with a bold grille and bulbous headlamps. The front bumper is adorned with C-shaped LED DRLs, foglamps, a gaping airdam and a brah plate. The doors feature silver-finished cladding. Inside, the Scorpio has plenty of features to offer. It comes with leather upholstery and dual-zone climate control.
The Mahindra Scorpio N comes in seven monotonous colours. Unlike the Scorpio Classic, the new Scorpio N has no dual-tone paint option, which can add some drama to the exterior. The Scorpio N is powered by a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine and either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. Diesel-automatic models also come with a shift-on-the-fly 4WD system, mechanical locking differential, and 4XPLORE selectable Terrain Modes.
The new Scorpio has a bold face and a high-set bonnet accentuated by tight creases. The car’s chrome window surrounds are subtle but visible. Wheels are 18 inches, although the exact size has not been revealed. The rear fascia is similarly under wraps. The SUV is equipped with x-mas-style taillamps and an upright boot lid. Lastly, the new Scorpio is equipped with an automatic air-conditioning system.
Bookings for the new Mahindra Scorpio N begin on July 30 at 11 am IST and will end on August 15. Test drives will begin in 30 major cities and the rest of the country 15 days later. The new Scorpio N is expected to be available in showrooms in the autumn and winter of 2019
Price
The launch of the Mahindra Scorpio N has gotten a lot of attention in recent months. After months of development, the SUV has been renamed and is now ready for the market.
